Holi Season It Was

Holi Season it was,

The streets in the city felt vibrant and rainbow-like

With many street shops

Selling various water shooters, balloons and colours

 

While children were quite eager

To get their hands on those shooters

Their moms were eager

To get all those Holi essentials

 

And how can I forget that little schoolgirl

Who was filled with colours

While wearing her school dress

Which reminded me of old good school days

 

And during the nights,

The singing of traditional songs and the complementary dance

While the drums being played

Holi Season it was!
