Being calm and stubborn can make a lot of difference
Hi guys,
Today, I want to talk about a real-world skill. A skill which you would have acquired in school if you were disciplined and listened to what your teachers said.
But unfortunately, I was not a disciplined kid who would turn in assignments. Or do what was said. I was very stubborn when it came to what I wanted to do.
If I felt like studying, I would study and if I did not feel like doing something I would not bother doing it (Even now, TBH)
But, today I had to get a job done at a bank. It took dad and me three and a half hours to get the job done. You know what, I learnt that sometimes being calm and stubborn (yeah, both together) can help you get things done especially from others.
I know it will not be easy working with people in a business or even in a job. But, if we are calm and stubborn we can get things done.
The thing is not all people would not put in their 100%. Some would do it slowly. Some would make errors. Some would try to drive you crazy. Some people would have I don't care attitude. Some would simply refuse and so on.
But, don't get agitated if the other person is a bit irritating like the case of a professor in my college who gave me a zero on an assignment. Just because I did a small mistake and later on rebelled like a hero when he said something which made me react.
In life, honestly, we can't be like Kabir Singh. It only seems good in the movies. In the real world, no one really cares about your heroic or stupid acts (Whatever you call them).
So, yeah remember in life learn to be patient. Whether it is at home with your parents and other family members, be it with your partners, friends or at work.
Being patient is what can make a difference in this crazy fast world. It cannot be acquired easily. You have to build a habit to grow this skill.
Remember if you are patient then your communication skills would increase tenfold. Your performance would improve. Your relationships will become better. Actually, all the aspects of your life would see some benefit.
